For the better part of my educational career, I always referred to any type of learning to assist me as a teacher or administrator as professional development (PD). In March of 2009, I began to use Twitter, and it was at this time that I began to create a Personal Learning Network (PLN).

As much as the critical feedback stung, it became a catalyst for my growth in the professional learning space. Quite frankly, my thinking was that this is what they actually wanted at a conference. So many resources are being shared daily on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. You can either lurk and learn or develop your own Personal Learning Network (PLN) to farm the best ideas and strategies that are actually working in similar demographics. The bottom line is that you cannot overcommunicate.
