Many of the initiatives that I am about to pursue either came directly or indirectly from my PersonalLearning Network (PLN). With this being said, there is just something magical and invigorating about having students in the building. In another mobile device area I recently submitted a grant for a mobile iPad learning lab.
They needed to find ways to reach their students, engage them, motivate them and connect with them in ways that built on the lessons they had learned from the first few months of the pandemic. Since the start of the new academic year, schools in many states reopened for in-person instruction in some capacity.
But simply teaching and learning through a device isn’t enough, and moving instruction online requires approaches and resources to ensure students have tools that enable deeper learning and active studentengagement. The other way we were using it was for personalizedlearning experiences.

I teach high school Social Studies, so while a website that would allow my students to create their own hobbit would be phenomenal, it doesn’t quite fit into my extremely packed curriculum.
