The knowledge that I have acquired from my PersonalLearning Network (PLN) provided me with the ideas and strategies to utilize student cell phones as mobile learning devices. It was at this time that I saw the error in my ways and began to leverage the power of a PersonalLearning Network (PLN) to effectively integrate an array of tools that I had never knew existed. We also had to trust they would use their mobile learning devices (i.e. technology, including social media.
Many of the initiatives that I am about to pursue either came directly or indirectly from my PersonalLearning Network (PLN). Initially I would like to see some pilot classes begin to use PollEverywhere to increase student engagement. I am in the early stages of research in this area so stay tuned.
For those comfortable experimenting with tech, try the Ask a Question feature in Google Classroom, PollEverywhere , Google Forms, or Answer Garden. You can do this simply and easily using index cards, post its, or pre-printed slips of paper.
