During a roundtable discussion, I was asked to discuss key aspects of personalizedlearning that are critical to successful implementation. Our goal is as simple as it is profound in that personalization is based on ALL students getting what they need when and where they need it to learn.
While there is always an innate need for more, it behooves us to think about opportunities that already exist to improve lesson effectiveness while also meeting the unique needs of learners that lead to better outcomes. There is only one thing a teacher can control, and that is how time is used when students are in class. Close the lesson.
Managing budgets, developing memos, attending meetings, responding to emails and phone calls, and other tasks also consumed a significant portion of my time.
