The traditional forms of sit-and-get PD are giving way to MOOCs, webinars, Edcamps and flipped learning. If we take the traditional staff meeting, many times the information shared is just “for your information” or anything that could be posted to a blog or in an email. But what does all that mean?

In the spring of 2014, a team from the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation launched to first rendition of a Massive Open Online Course for Educators (MOOC-Ed), titled Coaching Digital Learning | Cultivating a Culture of Change (CDL). 73% of the MOOC-Ed participants indicated the Twitter Chats as Valuable or higher.
There are the formal, classroom based collaborative spaces and there are the informal, non classroom spaces where we learn most of what we know in interaction with others.
