Thanks to iLearnTechnology for featuring this resource. Language Lens: Qwiki would be a great context to develop information organization or auditory comprehension strategies. Try using a graphic organizer, Inspiration/Kidspiration, or key word generation task after watching a Qwiki result.
Pixel Press Floors is one of the coolest new iOS apps (free) that I just found out about from the amazing blog, iLearnTechnology. This app is perfect for educators looking to integrate Game Based Learning as it lets users create their video game simply by drawing it. x = spike, + = coins) symbols.
I also am unwilling to retire iLearnTechnology all together. I hope that you’ll continue to find reasons to come to iLearnTechnology. These days, rather than merely sharing a technology tool that I’ve found useful, I want to do so within a broader context. Secondly, I still have so much to share!

I had a great time helping other teachers learn how to use technology, and coming up with ideas for how they could integrate it into their classrooms. I decided that I was going to take all of the curriculum home over the summer and create supplemental guides using technology to help teach what wasn’t in the curriculum.
One of the major benefits of using technology in the classroom is the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of every student in every lesson. I love technology built by teachers—it’s just different. You can feel the truth and passion behind it. It has features that you know were intentionally considered by someone who has been in the classroom. What it is: Magik Play sent me a Starter Kit to review, and boy am I glad they did! The Magik Play is a beautiful blend of digital and physical. Students download an app on their iPad and use wooden blocks that interact with the iPad screen to build structures that interact with the illustrations on the app.
What it is: Photomath is an app available on the App Store and Google Play. With Photomath , students can scan a math problem and learn how to solve it with step by step instructions and an answer.
