As a result, many educational entities have embraced a shift to a more personalized approach to learning. While this is admirable, what I have experienced firsthand is a lack of a uniform vision and plan or collective understanding as to what it means to personalizelearning.
Over the past year, I have been blessed to support the Davis School District in Utah with their personalizedlearning initiative across the district. While an array of successful strategies associated with more traditional methodologies still have value today, we need to rethink how and when they are used. It got me thinking about the many challenges both educators and students face, but sometimes the needed support isn’t there to assist both groups.
