Even though the flipped classroom encouraged teachers to record lectures and mini-lessons to send home with students for homework, video can be woven into the class period to shift control from teacher to learner. Instead, they can spend more time facilitating learning and working directly with small groups of students.

It was one of the first models, along with the flipped classroom, that I could employ in my low-tech classroom. They conducted research, investigated topics, and accessed online texts, resources, and tools. We can use it to connect students to information, resources, online tools, an audience, and each other.
