School may be out for students, but K–12 district leaders and technology teams have an important summer deadline for protecting their students and schools: applying for cyber insurance. Most school districts’ insurance policies expire on July 1, which means it is crunch time for collecting information and submitting applications. K–12 IT leaders should work in partnership with their insurance brokers to renew or apply for insurance policies, including cyber insurance, for the upcoming year.
