This media includes images, audio, video, blog posts, and eBooks. Chromebooks can do all of these things including creating eBooks. eBooks come in a variety of formats including PDF, ODF, AWZ, LIT, MOBI, EPUB etc. Students can then use Google Docs to create their eBooks and then save the file as a PDF. I have also written about creating eBooks on Chromebooks. In this post, I discuss the various ways you can make ebooks, one of them is using Google Docs and saving the file as a PDF. This app could be used to view student-created ePortfolios during student-led conferences. You can get this great viewer on the Chrome Web store.
Sites can also be a great place to manage student ePortfolios. Access our ebook, “12 Ways to Safely Adopt Google Apps into Your School,” to learn more ways start tomorrow’s school day better prepared to use GAFE. Maybe the teacher won’t get the time to respond, but a student who knows the answer can step in and reply.

In another post about creating eBooks, I wrote about how easy it is to create PDFs Google Docs. PDFs are a great eBook format because it can be opened and read by any computer with a modern browser. If you sign up as a teacher all the features are free for you but to make them available to your students you will need to subscribe.
