Today, students must acquire knowledge, competencies, and mindsets that prepare them to be productive members of a modern workforce in a global economy powered by technology. They must be prepared to continually learn new skills throughout their lives for a future we cannot predict. And, they must be informed citizens in our democracy.
New Milford High School proudly joined 37 states, 15,000 teachers, and over 2 million students on February 1 for the inaugural DigitalLearning Day. This day, however, was not really much different than any other day at NMHS as we have made a commitment to integrate digitallearning into school culture for some time now.
These schools were among 50 underserved middle schools around the country that benefited from an digitallearning coach during the pilot year of Digital Promise’s Dynamic Learning Project (DLP), with generous support from Google. As powerful use of technology increased, student engagement grew as well.
