We have a divide, whether it’s a socioeconomic divide or an opportunity divide. It’s a digitaldivide too. Our elementary schools are almost one-to-one, with a 1-to-2 ratio of devices to students. Elementary students don’t take devices home with them because we don’t see the educational need.

Over the last few years, we’ve built a very strong technology infrastructure to prepare our district for a digital transformation. We have a one-to-one initiative in our high schools, and we’re looking to extend that opportunity to our middle and elementary schools as well. We have a fiber network connecting our 13 schools.
