It has task management, reminders, calendars, audio and video messages, badges, chat, collaborative workspaces, course creation, discussions, a dashboard, mobile apps and much more. Students can create eportfolios with social bookmarking tools and as a final project create eportfolio presentations in which they reflect on the learning for each module/unit. The time to implement digital portfolios is at the start of the course. For one course my students used Pinterest for their portfolios and Prezi , Voicethread , and Capzles for their final reflections. The second part is to get students to benchmark and reflect at more regular intervals through student led conferences.

In the Guide to Capstone Education from the National Capstone Consortium there are a series of questions posed about technology and the role it should, could or might possibly play in a capstone course. In this post, I will address each of these questions based on the definition of a capstone course at my current place of employment.
The game is a way to begin synthesizing material from the beginning of the course through to the end. ePortfolios. Try using a blog as an ePortfolio where students can store and track their assignments. The great thing about using a blog as an ePortfolio is that students will always have access to it even after they’ve completed your course. As educators, you often need to assess growth in a student’s knowledge over time.
This could work great for an ePortfolio or documentation of growth over the course of the year activity. From there, I share a quick demo of how students can create a video showcase embedding both YouTube and Flipgrid videos. Next, I show how Genially can be used to create an interactive image with hotspots.
