VPS students have access to diverse courses such as coding, Python, robotics, and electronic applications, to name a few. The Python courses have supported students transitioning into International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) pathways and exist at all three high schools. My answer to you is this: We must bring more arts programming—and blend it with the maker movement—into our schools. So then… how are “making” and the maker movement uniquely powerful as avenues of learning—and where might it come up against resistance? None of these ways or reasons for making are wrong or objectionable.
