Closing the digitaldivide became even more important last year as students without reliable internet access at home struggled to connect to their classes. Courses such as “Moving Forward with Hybrid Learning” and “Creating Digitally Inclusive and Accessible Learning Experiences” are aligned with Digital Promise micro-credentials.
Though not exactly new, e-learning is being quickly embraced by more and more people as a complement or alternative to traditional classroom learning. When content is more engaging, the lessons are more effective, and in some cases students are retaining up to 60 percent more of what they learn.
But administrators realized that the problem they were trying to treat—the digitaldivide—was less like a mild cut and more like a deep wound. Partnerships with some institutions have also been prompted by tech companies looking to better support minority students.

Perhaps a digitallearning journal could be employed to promote reflection. As the Coronavirus has changed the landscape of education, I have become more and more aware of inequity and the digitaldivide. In my reflection, I have attempted to present ideas for all schools across the digitaldivide.
