It’s called GameBasedLearning (GBL). It simply means teachers include games in their lesson plans to teach curricular concepts. By using the games kids already love–want to play–GBL has an opportunity to turn students into lifelong learners who enjoy learning. More on Game-basedLearning.
You can have students watch the video module on their iPads, Chromebooks, or other devices, or you can project it on your board and go through it as a class. Door 24 Plus is a wonderful free iPad app for Math fluency grades 1st - 8th. This game is designed into two parts (Snarg Splat) and (Victor Fixer). These educational games work on basic Math problems from addition to multiplication and computational fluency such as, algebraic thinking, number sense, order of operations and more.

This game meets CommonCore Standards and has blue tooth capabilities to allow for two players across multiple devices. This game is highly addictive and has very high replay value.
Also, Monster Math adjusts skill level based on a user's performance and differentiates instruction accordingly. Finally, Monster Math has lots of replay value as there are lots of levels and worlds to explore, and is aligned to CommonCore Standards.
