Khan is the creator of KhanAcademy. He began his keynote by sharing a video montage of KhanAcademy highlights and then presenting some impressive statistics on usage. The catalyst for KhanAcademy began some years ago with a Yahoo doodle Sal developed to help a family member with her struggles in math.

The FlippedClassroom". It was probably Sal Khan’s 2011 TED Talk “Let’s Use Video to Reinvent Education” and the flurry of media he received over the course of the following year or so that introduced the idea of the “flippedclassroom” to most people.
