Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) implemented in 2011. The three guiding tenets of our BYOD initiative are to enhance learning, increase productivity, and conduct better research. Students elect to take OpenCourseware and receive honors credit once they demonstrate what they have learned through a non-traditional presentation.
They can do webinars and voice/video calls, and the only sole purpose of the classroom will be to physically present school output. BYODBYOD was already partially implemented in some schools these past few years, but 2016 will see more and more schools playing catch with the implementation. The possibilities are endless.

Flippedclassroom is a teaching model in which the traditional classroom and at-home components of a class are switched. Digital citizenship refers to appropriate and responsible use of technology.

As a flippedclassroom teacher, I rely on my Wacom’s inking capabilities to create the math screencasts I make. But the creation capabilities on the teacher end was not what my presentation was about. My school is a BYOD school and students all have their laptops in class on a daily basis.
