But the reality is most schools and districts are not equipped to personalize the professional development of every educator. Often we talk about the need for more personalizedlearning for students. There are countless books, webinars and other resources dedicated to the topic. Edcamps can help fill that void.
In every facet of our practice there are other educators doing amazing things that we can all learn from. Through the creation of our PersonalLearning Network we find smart folks we can learn, share and grow with. Sharing is how we all learn from each other, finetune our craft and invite others into our classroom.
On one day in August before the students came, and again in January of this year we set up Edcamp style PD days. She is someone that sees the value technology can add to the classroom and looks for ways to enhance learning in many different ways. I am thankful for a curriculum coordinator that I work well with.
