However, even as technology has evolved to more effectively support learning, our education system faces another great divide: the DigitalLearning Gap. The DigitalLearning Gap is caused by differences in how Americans in and out of school access and use technology to improve learning opportunity and outcomes.
New Milford High School proudly joined 37 states, 15,000 teachers, and over 2 million students on February 1 for the inaugural DigitalLearning Day. This day, however, was not really much different than any other day at NMHS as we have made a commitment to integrate digitallearning into school culture for some time now.
Millions of artists, musicians, and creators upload their own photos, songs, videos, fonts, templates, and digital content to the web and allow people around the world to use it for presentations, books, and other digital projects. Our digital learners enjoy building off of and adapting the work of others.
Will we wander through VR stacks in the library of the future? Will the library’s computer lab become a makerspace?
