Whereas in the beginning, it felt more focused on digitallearning and ed-tech, this year felt more like it was a hub for relevant education conversations. A small set of educators could always create an Edcamp , a model in need of revival in our times. And that they did.
This was the rationale for starting teacher-centered Edcamps during professional development. Instead, teachers decide what they want to learn, and what they'd like to help others learn, instead of being force-fed one-size-fits-all PD. I want teachers to know we are part of the same team, with a common purpose.
She has helped teachers, administrators and district office leaders create and implement a digitallearning mindset. Webb Elementary in Navasota, Texas and works with teachers in her school and educators across the nation on how to best to embrace digitallearning across a variety of platforms.

Because digital devices and online environments can simultaneously be transformatively empowering and maddeningly disruptive, the work of integrating digitallearning tools into schools is usually difficult and complex. Fears about digitallearning tools are especially tricky because they’re primarily emotional, not logical.
