There is no better way to support your students for real-world learning than providing settings they encounter in the real world. You are not alone, but you will need support. Over 5 years ago, they went BYOD with the focus on how will devices be used to take ownership of learning. When excuses such as “it’s not equitable” got in the way, they either gave kids devices or used cooperative learning. “Devices need to support learning, not drive instruction.”
While most districts are time starved for professionallearning, training in bite-sized pieces for staff and teachers, such as onboarding staff at the beginning of the year and when implementing innovative technology, ensures everyone understands the expectations and the intent. Creativity Technology supports creativity by providing more outlets for students to share their understanding and learning.
