It seems like every day presents a new challenge or adventure, depending on how you view the current landscape. The fact remains that there was no professional learning to prepare for the reality that everyone is facing nor a plan for something like COVID19. There are no easy answers or solutions that will work for everyone.

Now my time was spent creating PowerPoint presentations for direct instruction. It took some self-reflection and honest feedback from my students to move away from being the sage on the stage and more of a facilitator of learning. Through all this adversity, educators have risen to the occasion and have begun the tedious process of redefining education and what real learning really should be. Students do learn better when the chosen tech is complementary to the school’s educational methods. For example, blendedlearning cannot function without said tech. It is now more accessible than ever to create interactive lessons, implement PBL projects , offer personalizedlearning, and organize classroom activities.
