The OER Commons is a core site with resources from pre-school through adult education.
They come from sources such as the Michigan Open Book Project, Core Knowledge, CK-12, OpenStax and OER Commons. It also includes feedback for learners when they answer formative assessment questions. To help you begin, we’ve gathered digital textbooks across subjects and grade levels—all are openly-licensed and free-to-use.
The most frequently cited definition of OER is the Hewlett Foundation definition : OER are teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits their free use and re-purposing by others. faculty are completely unaware of OER.
