If they were doing this on paper, I really wouldn’t be able to assess this until after class if I collected their papers. I think this activity is a perfect addition to my student’s ePortfolio, as the reflection piece was built right into the assignment.

Anya offered an anecdote, that some district-level benchmark tests are starting to get cut back by using software-based assessments. This works as a pre-assessment and also for portraying the learning that happened to the class as a whole. I copy the sheet from the first day unto a new tab in the sheet for later reference.
