The district put in a request to their school board to upgrade their network’s bandwidth, and sought out additional support to make their broadband goals a reality. In part, their struggles are a result of controversies surrounding the Common Core State Standards, which were supposed to streamline and procurement the development of curriculum and assessment. Schools do continue to turn away from the iPad as the tablet hasn’t proven to be quite as revolutionary as some predicted.
