CoSNs Driving K-12 Innovation initiative recently announced that Analytics & Adaptive Technologies as a Top Tech Enabler (tool) for 2025 and its appeared on the list five of the past seven years. Adaptive technologies are tools that adapt to the student based on their interactions with the technology.
This will take many forms, from institutions evolving their operations to students optimizing their learning with technology to caregivers connecting directly with their children’s education through edtech services. To implement these technologies, edtechs must first establish a solid foundation and strategy.
A plan must be in place by then, with funds to be liquidated by January 2025. They can go to health and safety, learning loss, students’ socio-emotional well-being (especially post-pandemic), educational equity, and students with special needs. According to UNESCO, global demand for higher education is expected to grow from 100 million students currently to 250+ million by 2025. Naturally, technology plays a central role in scaling quality education supply to meet this demand. In this case however technology, and the need to adapt to it, is a part of the problem.
