In its first decade, 1998-2008, "mobilelearning" was all about getting devices into the hands of K-12 students and teachers. Why didn’t mobilelearning catch on, then? Palms initially proliferated; then Pocket PCs.

That trend is called m-learning , otherwise known as MobileLearning. Defined as a way to facilitate education through the use of devices like smartphones and tablets, m-learning is also a lot more than that. Remember that as of 2018, there are 3.196 billion people using various forms of social media on Earth.
Seeing that the world and education has changed (especially in the areas of technology, privacy, etc), I thought it might be a good time to rewrite the post before the start of the 2018 school year.
