Since 2011 Banned Books Week has included a day to recognize banned websites. Teachers and principals also increasingly voice opposition to blocking social websites, noting that schools have an obligation to teach students how to use socialmedia responsibly. Socialmedia is already a part of their frameworks as teens.
The first is on a topic close to my heart, PersonalLearningNetworks. The day will also include a component on using socialmedia tools with students at varying levels. This session will help you find information and lesson ideas, inspiring your work! Hope some of you can make it!
So here is my reflections on 2010 and my predictions for 2011. Here is an example I use a lot where I asked people to give me their thoughts on what a PLN (PersonalLearningNetwork) means to them.
