I’ve been studying the mobile technology world for a while, ever since helping do some research for Howard Rheingold’s Smartmobs (2002). Not to mention robots, which we can’t carry, but are portable on their own terms. These tools are more accessible, easier to use, and often cheaper than a laptop computer.
